Stayed at the Ajwa for 4 nights during a trip to Istanbul. The breakfast is not bad - it was limited, but this may have been because our visit was during off season in November 2023. The hotel is pretty and the staff are welcoming. Room service is not the best! The top-up bar wasn't always topped, and milk from the previous night wasn't taken away, no top up on tea! . There were no milk pods to make tea, which wasn't good, and we had to keep telling staff to top up. The location was good, a lot of uphill walking to get to places, 5 mins walk from bazaar, shops and blue mosques. The facilities are good - There are separate times for men and women to access the spa. No alcohol served at the hotel. I would come back to this hotel if I ever returned to Istanbul. The view from bedrooms to see the mosque isn't great. A great view is from the hotel restaurant.
Fantastic hotel right in the middle of the old district. The staff has been very welcoming and helpful throughout the day, the rooms are immaculate and the little treats at arrival and every evening are a lovely bonus. One consideration is that the I did not know that the SPA and sauna are for women only in the evenings and for men only in the mornings (which I could not use obviously it is important to respect the Turkish traditions.
We just spent 3 nights at the beautiful AJWA Sultanahmet. The staff were warm, welcoming, always attentive & assisted us in securing a superb guide & ensuring our transportation was always on time, safe & luxurious. The food was delicious!
We absolutely loved our family vacation here with the great service from AJWA team. We stayed in this beautiful hotel for 3 nights, celebrated my daughter’s 12th birthday and reunion with friends who we haven’t seen for 20 years. Every moment was precious and the hospitable and welcoming AJWA team made our experience even more special. The hotel is exquisitely decorated, elegant, stylish, and luxurious. The team attends to details and amends to all needs. The client relation manager Arrived to our room with a surprise birthday cake for my daughter, that was so thoughtful and sweet! The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance to many key landmarks in Istanbul. The room is clean and comfortable. We can’t recommend this hotel enough and will certainly come back again in the future.
The hotel is a convenient location for the touristy activities in Istanbul. Many tours start within 15 minutes walking distance. But, the area is very touristy and hilly. The hotel itself is top class. However, the spa area is segregated by sex based on time. That’s something to be aware of. Also, the bathtubs are very hard to climb in and out of. They are abnormally tall and I was afraid of slipping each time I used the shower. It did not help that our room had a shaky bathtub that was detached from the wall.
