This is a perfectly luxurious hotel located in the heart of Istanbul, the locations is perfect, suitable to move anywhere in Istanbul, few steps away from the metro station. Rooms are great with wonderful view, the only comment is that it needs more cleaning under the beds. Breakfast is great with so many options. The hotel is very pricey compared to Istanbul rates, so I believe that other nearby 5 stars options are more affordable in terms of price and fees for services. Example: I requested a taxi to the airport from the reception where they stated the fees of around 140 euros, while the same taxi can be taken from outside with 30 euros ! Otherwise everything was good
Disappointed with the service at this 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, there was no glass in the room. When I called the reception, a lady and two young boy insisted that I needed to request them separately. In my extensive travels, I've never encountered such a requirement at a luxury hotel. Expecting basic amenities in a 5-star establishment shouldn't involve guests having to make specific requests. I hope the management addresses this matter, ensuring that the staff's understanding of 5-star service aligns with guests' expectations. Appreciate the apology from Miss Ozden and the young gentleman who brought us fruits and drink. Thank you for addressing the issue promptly.
Rooms are not clean. On the second day of my stay, there was too much dust on the surfaces. Housekeeping didn't clean it and didn't sweep the floor. I am allergic to the dust and had to buy medicine from the pharmacy because of that. After check-out I stayed in the hotel for 30 more minutes waiting for my driver and nobody informed me that I forgot my bag with my belongings. Even until now nobody tried to reach me, regarding my forgotten stuff. At my first impression I was thinking to stay at the same hotel during my next trip to Istanbul, but after all this issues, definitely I WILL NOT. This is very disappointing. It cannot be a 5-star hotel with this type of attitude. Maximum 3 stars.

Great location, center of everything with amazing views of the city. Golden Horn suite was expensive ($500/night with taxes), but incredible panoramic views, huge room with a 1/2 bath and full bath, and access to the club lounge. Very big complete gym, nice outdoor pool with view. Service was good but laundry took 2 days and didn't smell fresh when returned. Lounge was very nice with breakfast, lunch stuff, dinner stuff, drink time, etc, and amazing views. Breakfast in lobby was very busy but had more than the lounge with an amazing selection. Access to the metro was great, Taksim is very central and the metro goes everywhere. I was thinking about the Sofitel, but for the same price I'm glad I chose the Marmara.
